Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Jeev mobile application and website at jeevrescue.online (collectively, "Jeev"), operated by UdgamAI (contact: contact@udgamai.com), based in India.

By creating an account or using Jeev in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Jeev.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Jeev. By using Jeev you represent that you are 18 or older, or that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian who has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We may suspend accounts found to belong to minors without notice.

3. What Jeev Is (and Is Not)

Jeev is a community platform that connects people who care about animals — those who report injured or stray animals, those who respond to rescues, those who list animals for adoption, and those who adopt. Jeev is not:

• A veterinary service or animal hospital.
• A professional animal rescue organisation.
• A shelter, sanctuary, or foster network.
• A party to any adoption or rehoming agreement between users.

All rescues, responses, and adoptions are arranged between users directly. Jeev does not verify the accuracy of incident reports, the health of listed animals, or the suitability of adopters. You use the platform at your own discretion and risk.

4. Your Account

You sign in using your mobile phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@udgamai.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

You may only maintain one account. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

5. User Content

"User Content" means anything you post on Jeev — incident reports, adoption listings, photos, videos, comments, profile information, and resource suggestions.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant Jeev a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent that:

• You own or have the right to post the content.
• The content is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• The content does not violate any applicable law or these Terms.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

• Post false, misleading, or fabricated incident reports or adoption listings.
• Use Jeev to harass, threaten, or harm other users or animals.
• Impersonate another person or organisation.
• Post spam, commercial solicitations, or unrelated content.
• Use the platform to facilitate the sale of animals for commercial profit (adoption listings must be for rehoming, not sale).
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform.
• Create multiple accounts to game the XP or leaderboard system.
• Post content that is obscene, defamatory, or illegal under Indian law.

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice.

7. Incident Reports

Incident reports are user-generated and unverified. Jeev does not guarantee that reported animals will receive help or that responders will be available. If you respond to an incident, you do so voluntarily and at your own risk. Jeev is not liable for any outcome — including injury to you or the animal — arising from a rescue attempt.

8. Adoption Listings

Adoption listings are created by users and are not verified by Jeev. We do not guarantee the health, temperament, or vaccination status of any listed animal. Adopters are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before taking an animal home, including consulting a veterinarian.

When a user expresses interest in an adoption, the lister's contact number is revealed to that user. Any further communication and the adoption itself are entirely between the two parties. Jeev is not a party to that agreement and accepts no liability for its outcome.

9. XP, Leaderboard & Badges

The XP system, leaderboard, and badges are community recognition features with no monetary value. We reserve the right to adjust, reset, or remove XP and badges at any time. Gaming the system (e.g. fake reports, self-adoption) will result in account suspension.

10. Intellectual Property

The Jeev name, paw mark logo, app design, and all original content created by us are our intellectual property. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Jeev is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, UdgamAI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Jeev, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or financial loss resulting from a rescue attempt or adoption.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of Jeev shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve disputes amicably.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or push notification at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of Jeev after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
